Join us for Spirits & Appetizers as Bob Knight of Arbor E&T, LLC and Byron Zuidema of US Department of Labor discuss the important issues facing the workforce system in the upcoming year. Feel free to ask a question or voice your opinion during this informative (and entertaining) session.

About the Speakers
Bob Knight is the Managing Director of the Arbor Workforce Institute. This analytical arm of Arbor E&T, LLC monitors congressional thinking and legislative trends and spotlights emerging new executive branch policies relating to economic development and workforce development. The Institute uniquely positions Arbor to provide expert capacity building services to WIBs, One Stop Partners, and Elected Officials.
Byron Zuidema is the Regional Administrator for US Department of Labor Chicago Region 5 whose ten-state area includes Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. Currently, he is on assignment in Washington, DC as the Acting Director for the Office of Financial and Administrative Management for the Labor Department. He also has state and local workforce and community development experience.

Winners will be recognized at this year's Heartland
Professional Development Conference, to be held April 6-9, at the Hilton at the
Ballpark Hotel, in St. Louis, MO.
Recognition: The Tuesday morning plenary session will be
devoted to the recognition ceremony. At this plenary we will recognize
and award three organizations from each category, and one over-all award will
be given per category. Each organization nominated as a finalist will be
invited on stage to receive their award. Nominees will be offered front row
seating at the breakfast and award ceremony.
